We are looking for a full-time site manager to join our team 5 days a week at our arches in Bermondsey.  The position available involves 5 days each week on the receiving of cheese, cheese care, preparation and packing of cheese orders within our wholesale department, stock rotation, inventory management and maintaining our HACCP plan. Warehouse management experience preferred as well as sharing our enormous enthusiasm for cheese & customer service through due care and attention to detail.

Responsibilities - Wholesale

·         Preparing and packing cheese orders for despatch to wholesale customers

·         Providing excellent customer service by managing orders accurately and answering queries relating to cheese and logistics

·      Organisation and cleaning of the warehouse in compliance with our systems and HACCP

Responsibilities – Site Manager

·         Organising the stock of packaging material, cutting equipment, cleaning products and dry goods held on the premises

·       Organisation and cleaning of the warehouse in compliance with our systems and HACCP

·         Working within the HACCP system currently in place with a view to acquiring the SALSA certification.

·      Liaising with providers of services and/or equipment in relation to the warehouse

Required Skills and Qualities

·         A love of cheese and interest in how it is made and moved from production to plate

·         Transferable experience of working in a warehouse

·         Good IT Skills required

·         Transferable experience in the food & drink industry is preferred

·         Attention to detail, reliability, positivity and professionalism are all essential qualities

·         Good communication: excellent verbal and written English. Fluent French is an advantage.

·         A full, clean UK driving license and experience driving in London is preferred

·        Work reference required

Position Details

·         Full time position over 5 days each week Monday-Friday

·         Working indoors in a warehouse, lifting heavy cheese and equipment. Some early starts.

·         Permanent position requiring a minimum commitment of 1 year
