We are looking for cheesemongers and, most importantly, food lovers to join our retail team on a full-time basis. As a business we are devoted to sourcing, importing and selling the best quality cheeses from the UK, France and Continental Europe. We champion artisanal and predominantly raw-milk cheeses and, ultimately, aim to do justice to the incredible work that goes into the production of those that we represent.

An ideal candidate will not only be comfortable in a customer-facing role but also even more comfortable with the idea of eating and learning about cheese each day. We believe experience behind the cheese counter is the best way to learn about the production, selection, and maturation of the products we work with. Through this, you'll become confident in pinpointing which cheeses should be going home with each of our lovely customers.

This role suits an individual with an ambition to learn the ins and outs of the cheese industry and to gain hands on experience in the running of a cheese shop.

As our busiest retail day, your working week will include Saturdays with Sundays rotated across the team. We know its over 10 months away but availability in the run-up to Christmas is essential with all our retail team working up till Christmas Eve. Your training will take place at our East Dulwich site and you will likely be retailing across more than one of our sites over the year.

As a retail cheesemonger your responsibilities will include:

• Helping to create an inviting, positive and safe shopping experience
• Speaking enthusiastically and honestly about our entire range in order to match the right cheese with our lovely customers
• Adhering to strict health and safety procedures
• Helping to drive our retail sites towards their weekly sales & customer targets
• Tasting cheese daily in order to accurately gauge its flavour profile and condition
• Be interested in taking on responsibilities to progress into assisting our retail managers with the running of the sites



We offer a London Living Wage starting salary of £30,000 with 6 weeks holiday per year.
